Hi everyone, great website so thought I should at least say hello. We were selected back in April, got our ITA in July and final approval 2 weeks ago, just waiting for the passports to come back with the VISAs entered. House sale due to complete in the next 10 - 14 days and then its book flights and we're off. We are heading for Christchurch where my brother-in-law has been for the last 4 years (hence our decision to follow suit after we visited twice), so can't wait. My wife has a job offer already, so I'll need to start looking as soon as we arrive, our 17 year old daughter will be job hunting too. Will be sad to leave West Yorkshire, but the scenary in NZ and the country as a whole has a lot more going for it. Cheers Steve, Jo and Jenna

Well done and welcome! Wish we were you! We have only just begun the process but can't wait - so much so that we have put the house on the market and are going to rent (as long as we sell!). Good luck with your new life!

Sue, Keith, Adam (10) and Tommy (9). :clap

Hi everyone, thanks for all the comments - what a welcome !
My brother-in-law lives in Lincoln and has been there for 4 years or so now, its a nice estate and we had a good look around the area when we were over there in March this year.
Ideally we would like to live in Lincoln, initially we were looking at building our own house - there are some lovelly plots nearby (Liffy Fields etc). However that might have been a little optimistic !
Anyway when we arrive we will initially live at Joe's house whilst we find somewhere to rent. My wife needs to start her new job fairly soon - so aiming at getting into NZ later this month and starting work on 3 December. I need to find a job when I get there - oddly I am not even worried about that just yet. We have had a last minute delay in the sale of our house, hopefully it will sort itself out, but worst case scenario is that Jo and Jenna fly out without me. I'll have to stay and carry on working to cover the mortgage in the meantime (groan). Life on an airbed - hmm can't wait for that one (all of our possessions left in the container on Monday).
So all being well we could make the meeting in December - if someone can send me more info please.
