...and I just got a job! Well a twelve month contract to be exact, but still! I start Monday as a project administrator with a major NZ corporation. Greg is still looking but in the meantime he loves that he gets to stay home with the twins until something comes in.

Last Friday we went to dinner with a group of friends and really enjoyed ourselves. I have also been invited to join a book club. More wine than books, I was warned, but I'm okay with that. The kids are thriving and loving the fact they are spoiled for choice as far as playgrounds.

And our container is here! If things go smoothly it'll be delivered next weekend. Our rental is still on the market but so far no bites. Long may it stay that way.

It's been a bit of a rough ride these last couple of months and I don't think I'll really allow myself to settle until we're in a long term rental and Greg has a job. But the mood here, like the weather, is slowly improving.

Hey, well done on the job!

I know what you mean about needing something a bit more long term to feel settled and completely relaxed, but sounds like you are doing great!

I know what you mean about feeling settled...think we feel more at home (housewise) once we move into a nicer rental and get to unpack a few more home comforts!
Well done with the job too :)

well done, your 12 month contract sounds good compared to my one month one (although it's just been extended to two months). I am loving it though, which helps.

Well done Emily, that's good news. If your job is in the CBD let me know if you fancy meeting up one lunchtime for a coffee.

Good news Emily - hope it all continues well. My bookclub has a heavy wine influence too, we often forget to talk about the books.
