We arrived on Friday and so far so good. We seem to have been very lucky with our flights on Singapore airlines - and great stopover in Singapore itself. OH's work booked fab accommodation in central wellington for two weeks so we will start tomorrow looking at schools and longer term rentals in either Karori or Khandallah.

Thanks for all the advice we have received - two that really stand out is having a longer stopover in Singapore and using the transit hotel - we all slept for seven hours and used the pool and last leg of trip fantastic. Also to person who suggested rather than trying to get kids to sleep on flight see how we got on as OH and I probably wouldn't be able to sleep in any case - brilliant advise as all kids did sleep a bit but in the main we all stayed awake and two days in are all time acclimatised!

The real fun starts now!!!

Welcome, hope you find Wellington as lovely as we did when we first arrived. Just a bit too windy for us so we moved up the coast :exit where it definately isn't so windy:D
