Hi,
my name is Peter and I am initially from Germany. I came her on recommendation from another user. I don't even know her nick here. She is a friend of mine and we met in a German forum about New Zealand.
We moved to New Zealand 8 years ago and are meanwhile settled on a small farm north of Auckland. This farm is currently for sale. My wife posted something about it in the Real Estate forum. Her name is j.cool! After 5 years of small farming we want to step up a notch and get into more serious farming. I work from home as a programmer and I love it. I wish more companies would be willing to offer this to their staff. It is great and works for me. I look out of the window and see our sheep grazing and at lunch I stroll around the farm and enjoy the views, play with the dog etc. I am so more productive this way.
I hope I can contribute to some of the questions here. I also wondered if there are more Germans her. It seems to be heavier on the UK side. Ahh yes, talking about UK, I am a keen crafts brewer and just love the UK beer styles. I do a lot of Best Bitters, Milds, Stouts, Pale Ales - you name it. But also some German beers like a German Wheat.
Cheers
Peter
