Hi folks,
My wife and I are shipping out from the UK to Tauranga in March :) We've got jobs offers signed and sorted, both with companies accredited with NZ immigration. We're both going for residency visas as skilled migrants. EOI's are filled in apart from the bit about 'other family'... Question T3 says:

Give details of ALL your family members, including those adopted legally or by custom. It is not necessary to list deceased family members. As defined in the guide, family includes biological and adoptive parents, and full, half, step and adopted brothers and sisters.

Now, the sixth word, family, is a hyperlink which pops up a window saying We define a family as you, your partner, and your and/or partner's dependent children.

So who do I list? My parents, brother & sister, as indcated by the main text, or just my wife (we have no kids) as indicated by the link? Also, in the options for relationship to you they can be grandparents, uncles, aunts etc, which goes beyond what either of the above statements would seem to indicate!

We have no kids, no family in NZ, and no other family members are going with us, so we're not claiming points for any other family, although we each claim points for each other as a partner in the Partner section later in the EOI.

Any help much appreciated :)

Hi,

We listed parents, brothers and sisters plus dependant children and asked if that was ok, which it was. Hope that helps.

You need to list all your immediate family members (parents, siblings etc).

If you do NOT put down all your immediate family (even those not emigrating with you) then you will be unable to sponser them at a later date (assuming that you would want to). If you didn't enter their details on the EOI, you can still add / amend them on your ITA.

Thanks for your answers - that's the EOI complete then... just got to count down the days until the next selection...
