Another question?? We submitted ITA a couple of weeks ago and case officer is going to assess this week :clap
However, CO did query if we had malawian police checks through yet. We applied for this is August and, despite very nice man at Malawian embassy, still no documentation. So we submitted ITA and based on all the fab advice given from this forum attached reference from employers at the time, documentation that we had tried to obtain police checks and the statutory declarations :nice1
The likelhood of getting anything back from Malawi given it was nearly 10 years ago now are very slim and worried this is going to hold things up :no
Anyone out there get residency granted without full 10 years police checks or had similiar experience

Maybe just panicking over nothing but have flu bug and off work so too much time on my hands....
Thanks
Karen

Reading this back realised that should have said that of course we have no criminal records in Malawi - just in case you thought we were secret crims trying to get through the immigration net :)
Cheers

I still haven't yet received my Brunei Police checks, I asked for them nearly 2 years ago!!!!
My CO eventually got fed up waiting so I made a stat dec, it was accepted and we got PR.
As long as you make a Stat Dec I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Hey Hayden1002
Well the statutory declarations thing worked - just heard back from case officer that they have accepted them in lieu of the police checks from Malawi. One step closer :D
Thanks for your help
