Hi,
I just wanna know how did you guys get job offers while you were outside NZ??
I didn't find any company hires people from outside NZ..!
I'm currently an IT Manager, Dubai, UAE.
My skills are in the skills shortage lists.
and another question:
what is the expected time period for me to find a IT job when arriving NZ?

Hello, HanyIT.. I'm in the same situation as you. I have contacted a lot of companies from the Accredited Employers List. So far I have received positive answers although no Job Offer yet...
Take a look at my previous post if you want to take a look at the list of IT companies i contacted: http://www.emigratenz.org/forum/showthread.php?t=14231
Good luck!

Hi
my hubby is a nurse so its a different area but we just sent the cv and cover letter via email to places (hospitals etc) we liked the look of with advertised vacancies. They did over the phone interviews and then emailed job offers. Thats where we are up to now just waiting for the formal offer in the post. Good luck

It is very possible to secure jobs from overseas. I did it like may others have. Keep at it and make sure you market yourself well. There will always be opportunities for folks who try. Good luck to you all.

Tlk to the recruitment agents, especially for IT work.
Some suggestions for agencies (there are many):
Absolute IT
Candle IT
Beyond Recruitment

It is possible to get a job offer from overseas, but it is much easier if you are actually here.
I didn't get much response until I arrived, but then got a job offer within two weeks of being here - although I did set up the interview while in the UK.
