We are a family of 6 (dad, mom, 4 young children) looking for a house to sit or rent , in or around Christchurch.

We have recently emigrated from Canada, and I (dad) will be starting a teaching job in Chch later this month. We have 3 sons (8, 6, and 4), and a daughter (1).

We are looking for a house that is/has:
* Fully furnished
* 3 or more bedrooms
* Garden area
* Close to amenities (park(s), stores, library, bus, etc)
* Otherwise in a good area for young children
* available Jan 29 or thereabouts

We are a quiet family, non-smoking, no pets (though we would be happy to look after yours). We are experienced organic gardeners, and so in addition to caring for your home, we'd be happy to look after your garden as well. Many references can be provided upon request.

We're interested in a long-term rental/sit, but something until April 30 might also work for us.

Yes, we have come across that website before. Mostly for single people or couples looking for flatmates. Great for students too!

On with our search... Although with the beautiful weather today, we can get sidetracked and end up at the beach! :P

there are a few websites with rentals on it. Doesn't look like there is a vast amount out there at present, but a) hope the link works and b) GOOD LUCK!
