Finally, we're making the move from Singapore to NZ on 9 Nov. :cheers It's been a long time since we first started the PR process back in Nov 2005.

We're touching down in Auckland on 10 Nov. Intend to make a road trip all the way down south to Invercargill & back to Palmerston North to settle down, just before the kids start school in Feb next year.

Got to find a used car, look at a few schools for our kids, locate a nice furnished rental house in Palmy, etc, etc. It'll be a busy week packing up our stuff as we intend to bring only what we are allowed on the flights. It's kind of tough for my kids to leave behind all, if not most, of their toys, games & books. Hope NZ will distract them from their "material possessions".

I want to thank all of you out there who has helped us in one way or another during this period of time. Thank you for your valuable advice & comment & not forgetting the moral support that we get out of joining this forum (even though we do more passive reading than active posting).

Looking forward to making it work out for all of us in NZ. The adventure has just begun.....

D-Day-1 .. after reading through so many posts on farewells and meals, we finally reached this stage as well. Most friends we met express amazement at our 'courage', enquire about jobs there, children educations, etc such that I was beginning to question myself if I had done adequate preparations and the choice I have made. Heh, I told myself, never try never know, though the fear still lingers. Well, I guess till I step onto the plane, the thoughts will still be there. Well, thanks to all for your well wishes.
