What did you all do re insurance when you travelled to NZ, we need to get something sorted asap as we leave in 11 days...aghhhhh!

We will hopefully be in rented accomodation about a month after we arrive...what type of insurance did you take out and who with??

Is there a special rate or something if you are immigrating??

I took the travel insurance offered at the Post Office. From memory, it cost about 15 Pounds.

You can get one-way travel insurance - we used it - seemed fairly expensive for what it was but you could specify a time limit. Can't remember who we used but a google search should throw something up

If you are emigrating most normal travel insurance won't actually cover you as they expect to bring you home to sort issue at least cost.

We used insureandgo , from memory it was about £40 for 2 and it could be arranged straightaway over the phone- it is a special ins for emigrating.
