Hi,
I posted this in the wrong forum. It has been 2 weeks since we have been interviewed by the CO. haven't heard anything from her so far. Do you guys think I should follow up with her or 2 weeks is just the normal waiting period?

Our interview was via phone from London (we live in the US right now) - we waited just about two weeks to hear anything back - we didn't get any formal reply from our CO, just a letter to indicate "Approved in Principle" dated 12 days after our interview. :D
I would be patient - given that it is one of the last steps before internal review (required for all applications) and our CO said finishing up his work and getting it reviewed by another officer would take about 2 weeks, you aren't out of the norm.
They will contact you if there are problems, no news is likely to be good news in this situation.

It was about two weeks for my CO to get back to me after the phone interview. I'd wait another week, maybe two, if I were you before asking them what is going on.

Sameer,
Who's your CO?
Here is the list of most expected questions.
Why NZ?
What would you do as soon as you arrive in NZ?
What is your plan?
Do you have any relatives/friends?
What kind of media did you use for research about NZ?
What will you do if you don't get a job as quickly as you would have hoped?
What have you done to look for employment so far?
What support will you have in NZ?
What would you do if you came across any obstacles? (List possible obstacles)
What do you think about the impact of migrants on the socio-economic balance of New Zealand and the wider South West Pacific basin?
How much money did we think we needed to make a good living in NZ
How long did we think it would take to find work?
Mainly how do you plan to make friends ?
How do you intend to find work ?
What will your Partner do for a living?
What if you do not find work in the area that you have chosen to live?
How will you support yourselves ?
Where will you live?
When do you want to go?
What have you heard about NZ ?
Has anyone given you any advice about moving to NZ ?
Have you looked at schools ?
What are your hobbies?
Do you have any questions ?
Have you visited NZ?
What is your financial situation?
Have you looked at properties?
What wages to you expect?
What do plan, if you do not find the right job in your industry?
How much do you expect to pay for your flat/house?
How will you build up your social networks and get new friends?

PS : I am from Mumbai and keep traveling to Pune often. PM me your number, so that we can meet and discuss the Q&A in detail.

Hi Kamal,
My interview is scheduled for the 11th of December - still a month to go.
Well, she spoke to me over phone last week and I found her accent typically Indian.
Did you read Mahesh's list of likely interview questions - I feel that should serve your purpose.

Hello Kamal
I don't think that would effect her decision if you could provide her with details like the name and contact number of the H.R in your previous company. This will help her cross-check your work experience.

Well, if you have a job offer than you will get a P.R else unless your case is an exception of exceptions you are most likely to get a W.T.R which could take some time as the CO needs to conduct reference checks.

HI All of guys,
Greetings,
I am new to this forum -
I have submitted my DOC's.
I had some query -
How much time does it take for CO to get back to us after we submit the Documents.
I have sent visa fees as DD to them with documents - is it refundable if i dont get PR .
AS i dont have any job offer , how would that affect my process .
Seniors please give some tips , guidelines please....

Hi Raghu welcome to the forum.
you may receive a letter from NZIS which will give you a tentative time frame during which they will assign a CO to manage your application.
Once you receive this letter your application has been accepted for processing and once your application has been accepted for processing there is no way to take it back and so you will not get a refund if your case is rejected.
If you do not have a job offer you will most probably end up getting a Work To Residence visa (WTR)

Congrats Kamal !.
However I'm not sure about the WTR stuff. Check up with your agent - you may have to fill in a form and pay the migrant levy in advance.
Btw did your CO call you up at your workplace before she took a decision ....

accomodation is expensive(depends on ur def of expensive though)... unless you decide to stay in a dorm/hostel. for a very average place in downtown auckland you could be paying around 65 - 80USD. The advantage though is everything is accessible. Buy a phone card, calls are cheap using such cards. Internet is free in public libraries and u can get an hours slot a max of 3 hours daily.
Good luck
