Hi,
I got an email from an agency saying that NZIS is closed for whole month of December. Does any one know if this is right? I missed this weeks EOI submission as still awaiting childrens passports. I just wish the passports arrive so we can submit EOI. If NZIS is closed in December I'll need to get my skates on!!:confused:

I was in a blind panic until I checked.
I have a job I need to start on the first week of February, I have flights booked, have given notice to the tenants of our house, notice to jobs here in UK. And our elusive friends still haven't even sent me an ITA. Unless they pick up their pace substantially, they cant even have a day off, let alone a month. And all of them? no, I just wouldn't allow it.
I guess thats what you get for listening to agents:laugh

Sorry for the panic. Your right, shouldn't listen to agents. I'm relieved though as we're fighting Against the clock, still waiting on childrens passports to submit EOI. Did'nt fancy another months delay as desperate to get things moving.

I emailed NZIS London today, to ask about current processing times. They quoted me 3 weeks to 3 months (plus 1 week for the Case Officer to be assigned and pick it up). They didn't mention closing in December...

Since NZIS is a Government Department they should only be closed on the statutory holidays over Christmas/New Year.
