Hi Everyone

I thought I'd say hi again. We've said hi before but have been absent from the forum for some time now as our intial application to NZ fell apart so we took some time out to reasses the situation.

I'm happy to say that we are back again and ready to rumble. Although we are looking at a more 'alternative' route into NZ this time. Perhaps student visa or work permit.

Would love to hear of others out there who may have gone to NZ without doing the 'skilled migrant' route. Would re-assure us somewhat as this is a nervous time. We have a young child so am slightly worried about the risk we take in just packing up and setting sail for NZ.

Anyway, hi! Hope to be chatting with you all soon.

Hi Tentun.
We came over on a visitors visa like alot of people on this forum with 4 children little one had just turned one a week before we left. Its very stressful and life feels uncertain and 6 months in we're glad we're here and Steve has a job and we have 3 year work permits. our big girls are on student visas and little one is on a 3 year visitors visa. We are about to go down the work to residence visa route with an accredited company so fingers crossed we will get residency in two years. Its our only option cos Ste is a truck driver and its not on the skills long term list but its on the immediate skills list.
Good luck with whatever you decide.
