I'm in sunny (90 degrees F) Kansas until late June and then will visit my husband for about a month. I do believe I will cool off a bit there...I check the web cam for Taupo a few times a day on the deluded hope that I will catch him going by on the bike.

Then I'll come back to finish teaching and intend to move there in January.

Why Taupo? That is where his job is...

Have any of you read the emigration columns in escapeartist.com about New Zealand? They've been quite helpful in developing a perspective for me.

We are in MORRINSVILLE, near Hamilton. Not too sure which of the categories this fits into. The one covering the centre of North Island I guess. This is a great place to live as you are in easy reach of so many places. Been here a couple of months now and we love it.
