A cautionary tale.... ;) might give a few of you a chuckle if you have done the same....

You would think after two and a half years, I would have got used to the fact that most sinks/baths do not have overflows....

Got distracted today in the middle of doing a few dishes in the sink..... I heard a trickling noise ran back in to kitchen, fell over in a big puddle, smacked my toe off the cupboard and my bum off the floor, cos water was running everywhere over the kitchen sides and through the cupboards and onto the floor....

What a lovely mess..... my cupboards are still empty, drying out, the kitchen is a mess and the dehumidifier is running away up there....

So beware of the taps & sinks folks!

PS my toe is very very sore & purple :no

Awww bless u Sal, did make me chuckle tho :laugh :laugh

My professional opinion is that u now need at least 2wks off from all domestic duties and it is vital that u rest and elevate that foot in order to reassure full functioning!!

Sal sorry but the mental pictures your post had, made me sit here chuckling, I could see you skidding across the floor on your bum. ;)

Hope you are ok and the purple brusing goes down soon!

I hope your toe is better today Sal and that the wine medicine is helping. :cheers

If it is any consolation, I'm always doing it too, our water runs out of the tap really quietly and I'm always leaving it on. I turn away and forget about it.:exit

Bonus is the kitchen floor is always fairly clean, if a little soggy :D

Everything dried out and put away, toe still purple....

One good thing came out of it, the flood water upset the dishwasher and it started beeping constantly so I had to find its power source to shut it off, in the 2.5 yrs I have never moved it as didnt think it came out of its gap, well it does and its now nice and clean on top and underneath it, and no longer beeping! and the cupboards got a good clean out too!

I have had a few medicinal drinks as instructed, and those that are drinking for me, ta! :cheers
