Hi all,

My wife and I submitted seperate EOIs last week and they were selected on the 7th, we have had our CO contact us via email to ask whether we are intending to apply individually or as a couple. I have asked her what the pros and cons of each would be, but she's away until Monday and I'm impatient, so maybe you guys can help!

We both have jobs sorted with INZ accredited employers and we're going for PR visas, but don't know what difference a joint visa would make over two individual ones... any ideas? I'm guessing since there's only one visa it's cheaper?

Our individual points were about 170 and 185, with each getting another 60-odd points under the 'partner' section, so applying individually would still leave us with plenty of points each.

Cheers,

Will

Not sure why you would want individual PR applications especially since you claim points for each other under the partner section? When you include your partner on the application they get the same visa as the applicant.
If you apply individually I would think you then cannot claim points for your partner? Would cost you double the amount of money as well.
