I'd heard that if you submit your work visa application in person, they process it while you wait, but when I mailed NZIS to confirm this, I was told it has a 2-week processing time.

Has anyone had it processed same day?

When I went down back in May this year they would have processed one application there and then. but for some reason if there is two, as in our case they say there is a 2 week processing wait. The next day I got an e-mail saying our visas had been processed and they were sending out our passports, got them back the next day.

Other people in the queue before me were getting the visa straightaway, only one application.
