Just got back from Auckland museum absolutely fantastic well well worth a visit.
Everyone here is so so friendly.
Heading to Hawkes Bay on Saturday so looking forward to seeing some gorgeous countryside and beaches...life is good....

Hey all,
Thanks for lovely replies, just deciding which of the gorgeous places we are going to eat in tonight!!
We are in the posh part...but in a cheap motel unfortunately!!! Graham is very impressed with all of the cars he says he has never seen so many Porsches (spelling?!?).
We have bought a retro classic!!!!!!!!!We have been looking all week for different price ranges of cars....getting the money wired over has been a slight nightmare...in that it isn't here yet!!!!!! So, we found this garage that had a little corker in it, its a VW Golf, 1989, GL, White, with 22,000 miles (original) on the clock and one deceased owner...the poor little car has never been out of Auckland in all that time, so the 3 of us are going on a road trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully we'll all make it!
I'm hoping Graham won'thave a Bazil Faulty moment with a tree branch!!

Great to hear you finally made it Jade after all the house selling stresses. Keep that sun shining and the wine chilling for the rest of us. I'll be joining you all in NZ in a couple of days but sadly only for three weeks - still a lot of hoops to jump through and a house to sell yet!

rrrr, Thanks for lovely messages...
Off to Sky Tower today for a relaxing day as we have been so busy doing jobs, so we want to enjoy the last day here.
The Journey here was shattering...I think it was because we had to set off to the airport at 5.30am, and we stayed over at my mums that night. My mum and I just couldnt sleep so we we're awake chatting all night!
Got to the airport with e-ticket thingy's...thinking, surely they are not going to let us on a plane with this bit of paper...but yes they did, everything went smoothly....this may have had something to do with the fact that I was a crying wreck, shaking like a leaf!! extra baggage got through no probs, didn't want to check the email evidence I had taken!!
Plane journey was fine, a bit of turbulance and everyone had to be strapped in for about an hour and a half but thats it. Service (SA) amazing, couldnt do enough for us. By the time we got to Singapore we we're shattered, neither of us could sleep on the first leg....but wow did singapore airport ( kind of) wake us up...has the most beautiful flowers, shops, etc etc etc.
Second leg....still exhausted...didn't have a clue what time it was, what day it was.....just kept getting fed and watered...I was sick of food by this point! We both managed to get a couple of hours sleep on this journey..then we hit Auckland....went in Residents section....felt a bit strange and when we got to the desk he said 'you here forever'...and I burst into tears again!!!!
Taxi we booked wasn't waiting for us, but we just got the shuttle...no probs.
Motel ok but very basic....lovely helpful people who own it though they can't do enough for you.
So that is us...little rundown of the journey!!
Sharon will contact you when we arrive
Thanks again everyone for lovely messages
J and G xx
PS_ only slight nightmare since we have been here is trying to get hold of our money back in the UK, Graham has gone to the bank this morning to see if it has been transferred yet, it is taking forever
