Can't remeber who made this comment to me earlier. But when talking about the cities in NZ, they said that Wellingon was like San Francisco, whereas Auckalnd was a lot more like San Diego.

Can any of the Americans on here give an opinion if this is true ?

I've spent time in both San Diego and San Francisco, and much prefered San Diego.

I have heard something similar, but, I had heard that Auckland was more like L.A, not like SD. I live in San Diego now, I'd have to guess that they are talking about weather foremost. And of course, the outdoor activities. And having to drive everywhere. We are moving to outside of Wellington, and that city definitely has a Pacific Northwest vibe....and you could walk everywhere! :cool
