Hi, we've not been on for a bit - been a lot around.

Anyway, PR visas arrived on Tuesday and OH booked our flights on Wednesday - fly to Auckland on Christmas Eve :nice1 arriving Boxing Day. I think we can safely forget Christmas this year.

Someone very interested in the house - just waiting for them to make an offer. May have sold my little car too :( .

The pets have started their procedures - cats had their boosters and microchips and we have another vet visit booked tomorrow. As we speak I am shut in the bedroom with the cats waiting for them to 'produce a sample'!! It's going to be a long day ;) .

Container booked for mid-December so packing has begun.

We had a bit of fun with the pet shipping arrangements. We were using a Scottish firm but as services up here drastically decrease over the Christmas period, they were unable to get (fly) our pets down to Heathrow before or during the Christmas period. Ladyhaye, a southern firm, came to the rescue and they have been amazing. 100% professional and understanding and the pets are also now booked on the same flight as us. We just have to get the pets to them before 10am on Christmas Eve.

Still don't have anyway to live over there yet. Making enquiries re rentals and will offer the earth (well within reason) for the pets to be accepted. If we have to board them and we motel/hotel it for a wee while, so be it. Stephen starts his new job on 7th January, working for Department of Corrections based in Otahuhu but we would prefer not to live there and are looking further south but we know we can't be too choosy at this stage.

We've sold our chooks too - they are being collected tonight. Stephen has sold a few bits and pieces of garden machinery and we have other odds and ends to sell which I will list and put up in the local shop. A neighbour is taking the house plants.

It all feels a bit sad at the moment, I can't seem to get past getting rid of things, things that have memories attached. I'm sure you've experienced this too. What I fear most is the final trip to Yorkshire to see family and friends en-route to Heathrow.

Right, I need a cup of tea and a small break from my cat watching duty. Thanks for listening.
