Hello all :)

Been though a few places in the world so far, started in Ireland and in Vancouver Canada at the moment just looking at the process and more importantly the time line of the paper work.

One of my passports is British so that helps with the 6 month stay to check the islands out, and being in software and school helps with the points thing.

Going to be checking out the north island this coming Feb/March I think, see if I want to move there and get off this continent !

:cheers

A few, collecting them as I go !

I'm thinking about applying for the EOI, though thinking as soon as I do that and if I get selected that puts the ball in motion, so if I get accepted I'll have a year to move there after the date of acceptance I believe.

So I've got to plan that one ahead ! Will know more after the trip in a few months.

Though I'm thinking about doing it for the cost of motorbike insurance alone ;)

Well that and I enjoy rugby, scuba and sail a lot too ...... :D

Looks like you'll get a good look then. The six month thing isn't all it's cracked up to be...other passport holders just apply for an extension.
The points, well you'll know how you fair with those, but normally you would be either in school (teaching I presume) or in software? Both simultaneously won't really benefit you when it comes to residence applications. All depends on your qualification(s?).
Are you a passportalist? (a bit like a philatelist, without the perforations).

Qualifications are 10 years in the Industry, 2 years of college and 4 years ending up with a BSc(hons) in Software, so top points there I think.

Just have to do the EOI when the time is right and see what happens :)
