I've tried doing a search on this but not having much luck.

My husband has accepted a job offer with a start date of 11 August 08, although he has signed the Offer of Employment agreement, he couldn't TOTALLY accept the job until coming to NZ, doing a reccy of Wellington and meeting the firm/people etc. If, god forbid, something awful happens and he doesn't take the job but takes another job (same job title just different employer) - what impact will this have on our ITA submission? Will we have to start all over again with the EOI??

i would say the ITA would then be null and void as you probably claimed points for job offer and that job offer is tied to a specific employer

Er, how do I put it?? NO:confused:
If it's the same job title just different employer talk to your case officer it should be fine. If you are changing jobs prior to sending off ITA you can just note it as a change.(you need a signed employment contract and letter etc.)

I don't have direct experience of this, but looking at NZIS policy note that it isn't only you who has to fulfil certain requirements, but also the employer offering the job. So you do need to check that a new offer is also acceptable to NZIS, whether or not the actual position is the same.
