Following our letter from the CO saying OH has to get a full orthopaedic report on his damaged leg and an e-mail saying that that was all they required now before making a decision, we got a consultant's appointment in record time (two days, at a cost!) and the report is in the post. It seems that the leg is all that is holding the visa up (and it's all that's holding the OH up too - apart from his other leg) so we should know very very very soon.
;)
General crossing of fingers all round requested.

Fingers crossed for you. Or maybe toes crossed would be more appropriate, if that's at all possible ;)
