Not us, but some friends emigrating to Dusseldorf.

I noticed some of you mention living in Germany, so some questions:

1) If your main language is English, how did you find the language barrier?

2) How did you find the schools?

3) Easy to make friends?

4) Any helpful websites, forums you can suggest?

5) How was the work environment - attitude to holidays, sick days, childcare etc?

Any other info of interest?!

They are an UK family living in NZ, so any comparisons to UK or NZ would be useful also.

Hi Tia, how did your friends get on. Sorry for being nosy but I'm a sucker for hearing how things like this turn out.

I can't go into too much detail as its really my friend's story. But they will be heading over in the next month and have done an amazing job of getting every thing organised. I think its going to be a great experience and they are definitely looking forward to it.
