How long does it take from the visa officer making a recommendation to the ITA being given the final approval? Our visa officer has said she has passed the case over to a colleague and a decision will be made "shortly".

We were told that it should take about 2 weeks. however it actually took 3 weeks as the "other visa officer" was on annual leave.

Worth the wait though!!

It's been about 10 days now - and we need to know as I want to hand my notice in next week. Been offered a job in New Plymouth and they want me to start on Jan 14th. We just want to go....
