I've asked before about Christchuch and Wellington as it looked like we were heading there. But now I've got a job in New Plymouth! :clap Anyone got any opinions. I've read a lot of good things and it made the Herald top five places to live recently.

Congratulations on your job offer - well done.

The only experience I have of New Plymouth is a visit 10 years ago. It was memorable because it was probably the first time in my adult life that I was welcomed into the home of complete strangers and made to feel like an honoured guest! This was a couple we had met on the beach, had fish & chips with them and then they invited us round. Lovely!
