Hello all,

I am tentatively planning to come to NZ (Welly to be specific) on a Work Holiday Visa through BUNAC. I know that you are able to take a job anywhere, but is there a limit on the amount of time you are permitted to work for each employer? For example, if I find an awesome job shortly after arriving, would I only be able to stay with it for a few of months before being required to find other employment?

Thank you and please let me know if my question needs further clarification.

Not sure about BUNAC specifically but with a regular Holiday work visa there are limits. I can't recall what they are specifically but I think it's more along the lines of total hours worked rather than total hours worked for one employer. I also don't believe you are able to work more than part time at any job without a change in visa.
BUNAC could be different, but I was under the impression that the major difference between the BUNAC scheme and the regular WHV was the age limit (35 instead of 30) and that BUNAC requires you to purchase their health insurance.

Oh, and welcome to the forum. :)

I am over here on a BUNAC WHV, as as far as I can tell, there is actually no restristion on the amount of time you can work for any one employer. I would how ever suggest you give the BUNAC office a call, they are very helpfull!!
