....Hi, I've been sneeking peeks at the forum for a while now and having now lodged my application for a work visa via the family route thought it was time I said 'hello'. So, I am now playing the waiting game whilst my app is being looked at.
I've survived the application process without too much stress so far - the usual panics over my medical (Wow, they know how to charge!) and the particular forms that I needed were changed on 01/11/07 (a couple of weeks before I sent my form off) so that was fun too - I think I have a few grey hairs that were definately not there 6 months ago and we haven't even sold the house yet!! I do feel relieved that the app is now lodged though - we will see what happens next.
My OH is a Kiwi and desperate to go home again after 10 years in the UK and I am getting more and more dispairing at the way the UK is heading so now is the time to move on. We're both in our early 30's and don't have children yet so that is one less thing to worry about.
Anyway, thanks for the help that you guys have provided so far, the information I have found so far has been very useful and I find it very reassuring that there are others out there going through the same as me and others that have gone on to start new lives in NZ. I am sure I will have lots of questions to ask!
