Hi,
We have been here in NZ for just over 3 years and are thinking about going back to the UK for a holiday ( finance's permitting!!) My son is 6 months old would it be easier to just get him a kiwi passport or go through the hassle of getting him an English one and getting the RRV put in.

Thanks in advance

I got my son a kiwi passport and booked all his plane tickets under that. He also has a UK passport and I hadn't sorted out the RRV but took it with us anyway.

We always used the kiwi passport with no problem, but as we chose to go through the quicker UK passport lane, as we entered the UK, (the rest of the family only have UK passports), I showed both and asked the guy which one he wanted. He chose the UK one, but said either would have been fine.

So if its just a trip to the UK a kiwi passport is fine.
