Got our section 18A stickers canceled and new ones are put in place.
however the new stickers say visa issue date = 4 Dec 2007

So the question is - Do we file for the IRRV on 4 Dec 2009 or on 6 Jul 2009 ( We entered NZ on 6 Jul 2007 on PR visas having the section 18A clause)??

have a look through this thread, Avalon had the exact same problem... I think the upshot was she was allowed IRRV two years after arriving, so July 2009 in your case. have a read anyway....

that was just what i wanted to know

So basically - when your RRV runs out (2 years after it was granted - not 2 years after you arrived in NZ - unless you were already IN nz when it was granted in which caes its the same date I guess) - you apply for a second one - and then if you spent most of the time here - you get an IRRV, if not you get another RRV.

basically meaning we can get our IRRVs post 4/12/9
