I'm planning to get my full assessment done on all my qualifications (A Diploma and a Bachelors degree).
Any idea which kind of service i should go for while giving it to the courier people since the NZQA wants all my original certificates and marksheets.
Little bit worried on what will happen in the transit because it has to go from Chennai, India to NZQA.
And one more question is do i need to send all my original employment records to NZQA (or) sending it to the NZIS at the time of ITA is enough...
Any thoughts on this.... TIA

I would say use DHL. You can track your shipment online by entering in your waybill number on DHL's website ( www.dhl.com and go to the India site ).
You'll even know what time it arrives at NZQA. If it means anything, NZQA send everything back to you using DHL also.
Good luck.

I sent all my documents as originals through FedEx. Tracked it through their website and even got an alert in my inbox when the packet was delivered.
The delivery route was Pune - Bombay - Singapore - Auckland - Wellington.
I sent it on a Tuesday and was delivered on Friday evening.

I feel it is better you send in the employment records with the Q.A.R application form. They need it to ensure that you were full-time into your studies and not in some sort of evening college while you were working !!

Thank you all for your valuable comments.....
I did my Bachelors degree only through Distance education from University of Madras while performing my job (This University is on the recognised qualification list and it was assessed as Level 7 during my pre-assessment)
Will it be a problem if degree was done while doing the job??

Hello Raj
I am afraid you may face queries from NZQA regarding this. As per my understanding of the process they would require applicants to furnish proof that their qualifications was acquired as a result of a full time study from a recognized institution.

This might be true but hopefully a degree is a degree, and if gained part time it should still count at the same level. NZQA hold the key here. You wouldn't be able to count work done during this period as full time work perhaps, but you can pro rata the part time work to be equivalent to a certain number of years full-time. This latter point is ultimately only relevant to NZIS, but NZQA might count it towards your assessed level if it contributes somehow to your qualification.
