First of all "Hi everyone!". I've been picking up tons of tips and its really great to have such a wealth of information in one place :-)
We made the decision to re-locate early last year but only submitted our EOI September. Can't wait to get there (thinking about Christchurch for 1. Beach, 2. Property and 3. IT Jobs)
But... I have a concern; I've seen peoples EOI's that were selected late September no have their ITA but my EOI, which was Selected 6th Sept is still at the 'Selected' stage and not 'Sucessful'. Should I be concerned? And who would I contact to check on progress?
(Live in the UK and had exactly 140 points)
Many thanks
Steve

Probably no need to be concerned as yet, although I agree that some have received their ITA's already, even with lower points. It might be because of where you are. Where are you? Your regional NZIS office might just be taking longer to process, and apparently even 4 months to receiving ITA is not uncommon?

From NZIS (London branch):-
for the week ending 7th December 2007 we are allocating files lodged up to and including 10th September 2007.
So would say your status should change shortly.

Hi Steve,
I submitted my EOI on August 4, 2007. EOI status was "Selected" on August 20. For a while there I was a bit worried like you too but today on December 20, exactly 4 months after being shortlisted, my status has turned to "Decision Successful". :raebanana
FYI, I'm from Malaysia and my EOI points is 120 without job offer. can't wait to get to the next stage. :cheers

See my signiture below for details, but I would have expected you to have had your ITA before me?
Still, get things moving, especially police checks as these take 40 days+. Also any NZQA that you need. Medicals are vaild for 3 months, but can be booked fairly quickly after your ITA arrives.
Overall, everyone will tell you to start collecting all the information you need to prove - you can find it on NZIS or there are ITA lists within this forum to search for.
Last thought, check your contact details and address are correct on your EOI.

If you are time critical then I would check the waiting list for where you want your medicals done, when we tried to book ours in January they all had more than a month to wait before the next appointment and we tried phoning all that were anywhere near us.
