Hi

Does anyone have a "things to do before we leave" list?

My husband and I are planning to leave the UK in July/Aug 2008 for NZ. And I am trying to make a list of the things we must do before we leave ie. bank, mortgage, tax people etc... but I can guarantee I am bound to forget something major which will panic me no end. So any help is much appreciated!

we actually used an A frame flipchart type wipeboard. Put it up in the lounge(!) and just added stuff as we went. We used different colour pens for various stages of urgency. It worked really well because you could see everything at a glance. There is also a sense of achievement when you wipe stuff off.

certainly kept us focussed!

I used a little notebook, and wrote everything down as I thought of it. We started a major to-do list, and then lost it the next day... doh! I can honestly say we were incredibly disorganised, and I'm sure we could have managed much better.

In the end it was all such a rush, that I didn't do many of the things I'd planned, and now have to do them from here... lots of expensive UK calls coming up I feel!
