Hi,
I've been reading though this forum for a while now and thought it would be nice to introduce myself (us) first before posting anything.
We (me and girlfriend Karin) are from the Netherlands and thought it was time for a change, quit our jobs, booked a ticket to NZ and will be arriving in Auckland january 29th.
Before arrival we'll try to arrange a job interview or two, hopefully land a job, tour around a bit and start settling in. After a year we'll decide if we want to stay, return or prolong. If we can't can't get things figured out within three months (about the time our money will last without working) we'll fly home, taking a little asian detour.
We would probably like to set up camp in New Plymouth, but it all depends a bit on the jobs available. Since we're both (very) experienced web developers I'm not too worried about getting a job, it's just where we can get it...
Karin is eligible for a working holiday visum (she's 28), while I'm dependent on a job offer (I'm 36).
Every bit of advice is welcome and in case any of you is interested, we have an online CV and portfolio.
