Just wondered if anyone in Wellington area can recomend a used car sales garage.
We're arriving in Jan & want to get a car ASAP so any advice on buying a car & garages (as we know nothing) would be great :D

Maybe you can suggest price range and type of vehicle that you would be interested in? As with the UK many garages sell only specific makes.

If you are happy with Ford (or Mazda) then Capital City Ford (http://www.capitalcityford.co.nz/) have been excellent (you can see their stock on the website).

Although it won't help with the 'quality' of the garage, well worth checking out Auto Trader (http://www.autotrader.co.nz) for the car that you want to buy to confirm that it is the right sort of price. Can also show you who has got a specific model for sale.

Once you are in NZ, also try TradeMe as they also have a large selection of vehicles.
