Just trying to plan a time line to get everything done and I was wondering if anyone can give me an indication as to how long after having the medical is it before you get the reults? Do they come to you or straight to NZIS? I am not worried about the medicals - both OH & I are healthy, not overweight (BMI's about 30 for both of us) and the kids have no health problems that I know of. I just want to be able to plan when to have the medicals. My daughter is at Uni so I want to plan them for when she is at home over Easter but if the results take forever to come through then that might be pushing it a bit.

I am hoping that as I have a job offer once I submit the ITA it will only be about a month before we get PR. We plan to fly out late August but I don't want to leave it until the last minute to get this paperowrk sorted out.:roll

It depends on where you go to. The slightly more expensive are very quick.
We had ours at Avionica Medica at Stansted and had the lot in our hands in 2 days.
Oh, they come to you and not to NZIS, you are advised to read them for mistakes so don't worry about taking a peek.

I think it will be dependent on where you go, some panel doctors have all the facilities in house e.g. for x-rays and blood test and for others you have to go to other locations.

I would expect that those that are all in house would be quicker with results than those who have to process everything separately.

Which panel doctor are you planning on using, maybe someone can give you first hand experience?

If it helps, from what I remember ours took 2 weeks to come back, the biggest delay for us was to get the appointment in the first place as everywhere (that we phoned) was fully booked for a month.
