My husband is having his Medical next week and we were wondering how long it takes to get the results back.

We are in the Midwest and walked out the door of the clinic with medicals in hand...then needed to go the lab for blood work...back to the docs for them to sign off on labs. Radiology took the longest...about 2 days to radiologist to read and sign off on report.
I carried them with us to our appointments and the docs filled them out ticking box by box (or sections) as we moved thru our exams. The only time I left them (nearly completed so I was pretty hesitant to leave them in anyone else's hands) was in radiology.
It seems medicals are done differently in NZ and the UK where exams are done by docs somehow affilliated (???) with NZIS. It sounds like some listmates leave the forms with their docs and they are returned to the applicant and then forwarded, sealed, to NZIS.
But I don't believe they need to be sent sealed - ours weren't so I witnessed the completion of them along the way and it was not a problem for NZIS to receive the forms along with all the other ITA forms.

Many thanks for your reply.
We are hoping everything goes smoothly for my husband's Medical and that we can get his application for PR in as soon as possible.

Just make sure the US Doctors fill out everything that needs to be filled out. As they are not familiar with filling out the forms. Good Luck!

Thanks for your reply mgf. We will certainly make sure everything is filled out on the Medical Forms...We don't want to be held-up with getting my husband's application in.
Suzanne.
