Hi everyone we are from Wigan in Lancashire that is myself, wife and the two rugrats, 2 and 7yrs. i am in the process of applying to New Zealand Police and if succesful would be in October 07 or February 08 intakes. My head is spinning with it all one minute its like yes really want it then is it the right move? i have browsed this site and you all appear so helpful and friendly. So its just a quick hello from me Alan, Catherine and boys. I warn you now loads of questions to come so sorry if i mither you.

My hubby was a UK cop and joined NZ police in April 07, if u have any police Q's just pm me and I will assist. Incidentally incase ur worryin cos u noticed we r home again, it was nothin to do with the police it was me bein homesick to the extreme.

folks the intakes if i am succesful should read October 2008 and February 2009, looking at other peoples experiences things seem to move pretty darn quick!!

I am in a slightly different situation than most people, but for me, so far, it has seemed to move really quick, then very slow, and really quick again. It seems to be a "hurry up and wait" type of situation, until the end when everything must be one all at once. :laugh
