Our friends who had been interested in our house and then changed their mind , put in an offer on another, were accepted, have today been back to us (after I questioned their really wanting to live in said village), and now are definately decided on ours! They're happy to wait til we're ready to go, maybe July now, so how fantastic is that! Just got to agree a price! Will get 2 valuers, (not estate agents who have commission to think about), and see.
But now, house sale pretty much sorted, still no job? Ah well one thing at a time eh?! Excited though as its starting to happen!

That's great news for you. Have you seen the housing market thread; full of people awaiting sales in a gloomy market?

Yes I know and I do feel a bit guilty if ours is going to sell that easily, so hence putting my post in this thread not that one! But it still doesn't solve it all, as with no job, its going to be a tough one to commit to studying for year even if the qualification is on the long term shortage list and is likely to result in a job offer. What if we've settled, kids happy in school, no income apart from what Oh can earn but at end of my course there are no jobs in the area? No , must only think positive; if we really want to go, this is our only chance and we should be very thankful that one of the biggest hurdles is out of the way.
Sorry to all the hopeful house -sellers................it must be your turn next.....

We're the opposite I suppose with OH starting job in three weeks in NZ and we leave in two weeks with no house sale - scary!! Tis a big leap for us all so we're jumping!
All the best on the job/studying front
