Well, after months if 'shall we, shan't we?' on my OH's part we have finally submitted out EOI today with 150 points. I'm so excited now, although I thought I had messed it up. When I went to submit it and got to the payment screen it asked me for NZ$400 instead of the £685 I was expecting. When I checked on their list of fees it stated that online EOI was NZ$400 and then skilled migrant residency was a further NZ$1800 - does anyone know when this has to be paid? This also raises the cost a heck of a lot. :eek: This must be the start of the 'money pit' that is immigration :)

I think the skilled migrant fee goes with the ITA when it arrives after EOI has been selected and approved - sure someone will correct me?

Not if you're right!

You pay the £685 when you submit your ITA. Then when they approve your application, there's the migrant levy. ISTR that it's £115 per person up to a maximum of $1200 (hmmm, four people in my family - they have this sussed). Since the GBP has fallen against the NZD these fees in GBP are now cheaper than the actual $1800 (ITA) or $300 per person (migrant levy) it would otherwise be. It's not a cheap option either way! Ker-ching!! at every stage.
