Hi All!
We have been looking at the forum for a while, and after some much appreciated help from Marcia :nice1, we can now post and introduce ourselves!
As per the title, we are heading out to NZ from Cornwall on our third trip on the 15th Jan. It is our intention to emigrate later in the year, so while we are over, we will be job hunting. Dad of the family is Richard, a qualified Linesman / Line Mechanic. Mum is H, a qualified childcare worker, and Will who's 6, a Stockcar fanatic!
Hopefully with a job offer, we can apply for PR straight away.
This trip will also decide our location which will be one of the following that we favoured from previous visits, but realise that it is job offer reliant: Stratford, Palmy, Wanganui and in the south Blenheim or the Christchurch area. Why these areas? Well, Marcia will probably guess the link...They all have speedway tracks and Richard definately wants to carry on racing when we move :laugh Seriously though, these look like the best areas for us to live in and bring up our family, with the kind of lifestyle we are looking for.
If anyone has any suggestions for work in these areas, please feel free to contact us. We do have some info regarding work avenues etc, but you can never have too much, no matter how obvious you might think yours is!
