Is it possible to commute into Christchurch from Amberley?
also whats amberley like ? what is the beach like there?

My impressions of Amberley are ....... Popular with ex Pats , acerage is a little cheaper than Rangiora Surrounds , the beach is narrow & a bit stoney - we go to waikuku . Golf course popular ,there is a few nice cafe's but no supermarket , as far a s commutting times from Ch Ch - I geuss it will come in at about 50-60 mins . There will be no problems once on the motorway (still males hubby laugh ) but rather belfast ... its a real bottle neck ....

Hi Vic, thanks for the info , so you are in rangoria, what do you find good/bad about rangoria?
From what you say Amberley sounds abit far from christchurch so my other options are darfield or oxford.

Darfield and Oxford are both similar distances from Christchurch, about 45 to 50 km.

I couldn't tell you much about either place, although I have driven through Darfield on a number of occassions and it seems a very pleasant typical Cantabrian town.
