Yesterday hubby and I decided we would have a day off looking at houses and go for a nice long walk on the beach...we had been walking about 5 minutes when.....( I kid you not!!)....an estate agent started walking towards us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She was doing an open home nearby and had spotted us so thought she would come and join us and ask us for feedback on houses and apply some pressure:yes

Talk about being 'on the ball'....I have never known estate agents like it!!

I couldn't stop laughing.....:D

PS- After all the viewing we think we are going to rent for 6 months now...it was good to get an idea of the market and prices...but want to see how jobs go etc...

I can well believe it.....Estate agents can spot UK money from miles away - you need to be thick skinned and politely but firmly decline their assistance if you don't want to be hassled!

I didn't like estate agents in the UK but I definitely don't like them here!

Funny really - I know what you are saying about the agents here hassling you - but look at it from a sellers point of view, they are doing their job!!! I hated the agents in the Uk, they sat on their bums in their offices, sent out a few flyers initially then the rest was left up to you, but they still charged a hefty percentage at the end for nothing!

I know they charge a fortune here for selling, but they do seem to work hard, drumming up the clients and doing the open homes, and as you've seen activly seeking out potential buyers!

As always theres two sides to every coin - here we have the buyers point of view! ;)
