Wow, I can't believe we're really here. This whole experience has been surreal.

We've been here 2 weeks tomorrow, and today the last major hurdle has been overcome - we've found a rental! In the school zone we wanted! I can't believe the estate agents here, they've all been on a Christmas break until 7 Jan, and even after they re-opened for business they didn't really try too hard. Probably my sense of urgency made everything seem so extremely sloooow.

We've found a car, got library cards (yay, I love reading), got a bank account and as of today a house! And a school! Our goods have arrived at the dock - I think, that's OH's department - so we should have our stuff delivered on moving in day, which will be delightful.

And I can't believe how hot it is here! And humid. And light until so late. And I found the rain so strange - it's not even cold. I love it though.

So now that we have a house, we can organize all the other little things, and take a break from traipsing from one house to another all day long. :raebanana :raebanana :raebanana :raebanana
