Hi guys

We got our passports back today with PR!!! I thought it might help some to know our timings - we put our EOI in in October (after OH was made redundant and we'ld been considering a move to NZ in a few years so bought it all forward a bit sharpish), got picked the next day on 105 points, OH went out to NZ in November/December, got job, came back and we got all the remaining paperwork together i.e. police checks and medicals - we'ld done all the rest beforehand. Sent our application in about 10 days ago and had a wonderful case officer, really helpful, and apart from a blip on the birth certificate front which was quickly sorted, there we are, 10 days later withpassports in hand. Flying out on 14th Feb. So it can be done quite quickly if you need to...

Celebrations tonight - the last few weeks seem quite surreal and I shan't believe it's happening until I'm in Gisborne I don't think. I'll let you know how we get on.

Wow Helga that's great news :yes So now the mad times begin. Have you got lots to do before you guys fly out on 14th Feb? I'm sure these 3 weeks will fly by. Hope all goes well. Let us all know how you get on.

Babette - yes, loads to do - complete panic stations!! Trying to sell lots of stuff (including two cars and a house!) and clean lots of things and leave everything in order plus planning what to take for the children when they won't have their own things around them for 8 weeks until our container catches up with us....
