Hello all.
I'm new to the community and really considering moving to New Zealand.
Some background info on me :)
I'm 27 and Single.
I'm qualified to Masters Degree Level in IT and have 5-6 years work experience as a Microsoft .Net Software Developer and Architect at present.
I have heard there is a real need for Highly qualified and expereinced IT People in the Country i hope this is true =)
I'm currently favouring Wellington as my preffered destination.
I'm not sure which route to go down as far as moving out there...
I have considered the Working holiday Visa and attemptibng to find a job out there and then get my visa changed to allow me to stay permanentley. Is this viable?
I have also of course thought of being patient and going throught the year long Skilled Workers Visa application process.
As i'm single and have no commitments or ties in the UK getting out there as soon as possible really is appealling but of course i'm concerned by the fact i have no where to live and no work as soon as i get there. This would be true if i went with either approach but i'm sure i'd have more initial funds if i waited to complete the skilled workers application process. I'm just concerend with the risks of both approaches does anyone have any thoughts or advice? =)
