Hi,
Happy New Year to you all.
We've been a member of this forum for quite sometime but this is the first time i've written a thread so Hello to everyone.
My husband and I totally love NZ and have decided we've finally had enough of the cold summers and even colder winters in the UK.
I've read many threads on this forum and practically the whole NZ immigration website but we're still slightly confused about the work situation and was hoping someone might be able to shed some light.
Although my profession (Production Manager in Advertising) isn't on the short
list of required skills it's still a very specialist position and seems to be in demand in cities such as Auckland. On a basic sum of my points it seems that I may get less than the required 100 points for the EOI pool, therefore I need to consider some other options:(
Please can someone let me know what other options I may have.
Would it be possible for us to come out there on a working visa and try and find a job that way. If I was to do that and managed to get a job offer - does my employer then have to sponsor me? If I was sponsored then would my husband also need to get sponsored or will he be able to stay on my application.
Do you think it's still worth me going down the EOI route to see if I qualify for anymore points and keep my fingers crossed I go through to the pool?
Do you know of any other possible routes we could take.
We're both desperate to get out there as quickly as we can so any advise you could give us would be greatly appreciated.
