Am I likely to find a Vodafone shop open tomorrow, do you think? And do any of the supermarkets open Sundays?
I need some bits & pieces and had completely lost track of what day it is!!!
Thanks,
Jane

I'm not in NZ for another 2 weeks, but according to their website, Pak n Save is open on Sundays. I checked it out because our flight arrives on a Sunday morning, and I didn't want to be hungry :)

I was led to believe that shops didn't open on Sunday and had reduced hours on Saturday. Is this just a myth?

Vodafone shop isn't open Sundays. Supermarkets all open. I've found in the smaller towns shops (other than supermarkets) all close on Saturday afternoons and Sundays.

Probably true in smaller towns and villages. In the cities, Sunday is virtually like any other day.

Why exactly do you want a vodafone shop?
As others have said, if it's credit you can get it from other shops as well?
If it's a SIM card then you can also get these from other shops e.g. Dick Smith Electronics.
BTW, If it is for a SIM card, then ask them to show what numbers that they have available so that you can choose a phone number that you like.

Hi Ian.
I brought a new Vodafone mobile with me from the UK, with the intention of putting an NZ sim in it, hence wanting a Voda shop.
I found the shop ok this morning, but had forgotten to take the unlocking code with me.... doh! I'll try again later.
Thanks for your tip about choosing a number - I hadn't thought of that!
regards,
Jane

All the shops in Queensgate Shopping Centre in Lower Hutt are all open on Sundays too, including Vodafone.
