Hi,
we sent our ITA on the 15th Oct. The timescales at present on the NZ London site are week ending 11th Jan, processing up to 3rd Oct.
It seems like a never ending wait!!
Anyone submitted theirs at a similar time without a job offer that has been allocated a case officer?????
Thanks
Nick

Compared with when I came it seems you're waiting a long time. How many points are you claiming if you don't mind me asking.

ours went in 7th Dec, we recieved a letter saying it was being processed about 10 days later. my wife rang our case worker last week and we need to send some stuff to nz.
a letter from #1 sons college confirming he's a pupil there.
and a couple of medical letters from our Doc.
I dont know when they were planning to tell us they need this extra information (although they already have it in the application) but we'll have it sent off to nz next week all being well.

We took ours in on August 16th without a job offer. We had a letter back saying it would take up to 4 months to appoint a Case Officer but that a job offer would speed things up. I had the job offer after two and a half months and notified them immediately. Then I got a case worker - then at the end of November we had to send some more stuff on the medical side. Then the Med Assessors shut down for Christmas until january 8th. And we've heard nothing since.
We moved here on January 4th.
Waiting? We've got a diploma in it. We should get extra points on the application form for waiting. There should be instructions on how to wait in the Tips for Migrants booklet.
I don't do waiting very well though. And there isn't a smilie for hysterical, tearing-your-hair-out-whilst-gnawing-your-arm-off laughter either.

We submitted out ITA (without job offer, but on immediate skills shortage list) on July 9th 2007.
We found out that we had been assigned a Case Officer on November 5th 2007 (almost 4 months).
More than 2 months on and we're still waiting. I sent the Case Officer an email asking if there was any update on January 6th, but she hasn't replied yet. It's very very frustrating!

I have no advice only sympathies!!!
We submitted our EOI in April 2006, the ITA didn't come through until march 2007, and we didn't get PR until august 07. It is such a frustrating long winded process. I feel as though our lives have been on hold for 2 years now.
Take comfort in the fact that it will happen (I am sure that you would have heard now if there was any problems), and just remember that this is the beginning of your new life.
Saying that it doesn't make it any easier, and patience is a virtue that I don't posess. Good luck
