Well after what seems like months of paper chasing and stress :wah we have finally submitted my PR application in London. :clap After waiting for an hour or so in the queue we went in to submit the paperwork we have amassed. We were well prepared, had a summary letter for our application and 9 A4 envelopes full of stuff proving our relationship. The woman we saw looked over the application and it has officially been lodged today as "partner of an expatriate" (does that mean it's fast-tracked? :exit ) We were given an application and receipt number and apparently should hear something by mail within 6-8 weeks, so fingers crossed, another major hurdle over with...now on to sorting out the shipping...not quite tasting those banana's but I can smell them!
Thanks to all who have offered advice so far :nice1

Got an email yesterday from NZIS in London letting me know who my Case Officer is. That was 20 working days from the day I submitted my application.
Apparently they're waiting for the NZ police report for Jo, my sponsor. Since 5 Nov NZIS request these themselves for ALL sponsors and usually it takes 20 working days to come through, so with a bit of luck everything should be coming together.
Will let you know how it all proceeds.

Yes, Good luck, it will all come together, then theres the next few hurdles to get over.............organising your house sale, shipping, booking flights, the lists become endless!
Its well worth it all though!

shaky, was your PR really granted five days after you returned your ITA? We've only got a couple of weeks between the earliest we can submit and the date we're leaving the country, so it'd be good to know it's possible in that kind of timeframe... main thing seems to be to have visa before arriving in the country so our stuff isn't subject to import duty when it arrives on the boat.
